The Opportunity
Reporting to the President, the Vice President Sales and Marketing is responsible for the development and management of all sales and marketing functions. Based in Winnipeg, the incumbent will play a key role in marketing strategies to grow the market and build on a solid reputation for excellence.  As a trailblazer and creative leader, the successful candidate will maintain key customer relationships with Fishers and suppliers while developing and implementing strategies for expanding the customer base in national and international markets. 
With proven experience in strategic planning and market development, the incumbent will establish annual sales objectives in conjunction with the Corporation’s annual business plan. The Vice President Sales & Marketing will participate in senior management decisions on policies, directions and overall operations. 
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement business plans, marketing strategies and analyze results and trends.  Develop sales philosophy and work collaboratively with Operations and Finance to achieve specific objectives of the sales plan. Hire, develop and train sales staff. Define and oversee sales staff compensation, incentive programs and training programs that motivate the sales team to achieve sales plans. Identify and drive opportunities within an enterprise, culminating in negotiating sales and/or licensing contracts. Develop, manage and monitor key customer relationships and travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners. Build and maintain relationships based on trust, accountability, open communications and decisive action.  Selection Criteria
Bachelor degree in business, marketing or related discipline. 5+ years experience in the food processing/manufacturing industry. 10+ years management experience in a sales and marketing capacity. 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in a complex, dynamic work environment. Experience in the frozen or fish sectors of the food industry a significant asset. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Maintain effectiveness while driving change and adjust effectively to stringent timelines.
