The Producer is responsible for the client’s overall experience in our facility. They are responsible for organizing and maintaining a variety of assigned projects from acquisition to completion. Producers supervise the day-to-day operations of the department or project, which includes staff, hardware, software, scheduling and production. They are responsible for client expectations of all of our film VFX work and overseeing the smooth running of the project. This is a project based position.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop VFX staff in consultation with the Executive Producer and Supervisors in order to meet the operational and fiscal requirements of the department or requirements of the particular project Works closely with their production team to ensure realistic scheduling and good communication throughout the production department.· Works in conjunction with VFX Supervisor to bids on VFX Shots May work closely with Sales team to cultivate new relationships and be awarded new projects Aware of all VFX Employee scheduling requests and plans appropriately Allocates resources to best achieve departmental and corporate goals and deadlines, including staff, equipment and rendering resources Ensure that projects meet deadlines, budget and quality Holds regular production and technical meetings with relevant staff and key stakeholders Communicates with employees through meetings, emails, and informal discussions. Gives regular feedback to the Executive Producer on departmental issues, progress and problems Carries out other related duties Job Requirements
Degree, diploma and/or certificate in applicable technology or visual arts field preferable 5+ years of experience in the VFX environment Ability to manage or coordinate large creative work teams in animation, post production or production Extensive knowledge of VFX design, production and delivery Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Knowledge of current software and hardware used in the VFX industry Understanding and knowledge of digital and analog production procedures and practices, including networks, servers and workstations Ability to do script breakdown and bid projects Understanding and knowledge of 3D and 2D applications Language of work will be in English
This is a project based contract position. Employees will be entitled to benefits after either a 3 or 9 month wait period (depending on eligibility), in which time they will receive the following benefits: health, medical, dental, 1x life insurance, and MSP support.
Salary range: $90,000 to $135,000 (Annually)
